But what’s really attractive about this place are the ornate Victorian-era roof made from iron and wood and its well-preserved clock which hasn’t stopped ticking since 1890!
2. EXPLORE LOCH NESS
Whenever Inverness is talked about, Loch Ness always pops up. It is arguably the most popular place in the city, not just because of its iconic freshwater loch that’s rumored to be the home of the mythical creature Nessie.
So many people said they saw the Loch Ness Monster so a center was put up were an extensive collection of witness accounts, digital projection, photographs, and computer graphics of Nessie are housed.
Another thing to do at Loch Ness is hiking! The South Loch Ness Trail spans over 28 miles of forest roads and at varying altitudes. And if you prefer to see the area from the water, there are boat cruises organized by many agencies too.
3. CULLODEN MOOR
And who wouldn’t recognize this iconic place. Thanks to the Starz series “Outlander,” this historical ground became familiar to many millennial all over the world.
Culloden Moor was where the now-famous battle of Culloden took place. It happened on April 16, 1746 and it was one of the bloodiest battles in the history of Scotland.
Then a bloody battle ground, now a perfect spot for photo ops, you can explore the moors and take in its picturesque surroundings.
4. SCOTLAND’S MALT WHISKY TRAIL
If you are a whisky lover, Inverness is the place to be! This place has some of the best distilleries in Scotland and many of them offer guided tours. The best part of the tour, of course, is the whisky-tasting sessions.
